Dr. Joanne Masciarelli was born and raised in Massachusetts. She was first introduced to chiropractic when she was in her early twenties as an avid runner who began to struggle with lower back and knee pain. She spent years experiencing this pain until a friend referred her to a chiropractor who helped decrease the lower back and knee pain. Along with the reduction of pain in her lower back and knee she found an improvement in her general well being and health, not long after Dr. Joanne started Chiropractic school at Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia.
Today, Dr. Joanne practices various techniques such as Gonstead technique, Thompson Drop Table, Graston technique and Impulse Activator Method, which gives her a range of versatility in her chiropractic care and approach. Dr. Jo’s approach is comprehensive which allows her to treat various patients including children, adults and athletes who receive holistic and individual treatment with specific patient education and a plan to achieve optimal results. Prior to receiving her Doctorate of Chiropractic, Dr. Joanne received a Bachelors of Education from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She also taught and worked in the dental field for several years as a dental hygienist, giving her a broader understanding of overall health.
Dr. Jo has now been practicing for over 25 years. She has found a passion in helping others who are seeking pain relief and want to achieve optimal health. In her spare time you will find her cycling, enjoying the beach or cooking her dads family recipe for homemade pasta sauce.
